Trisha originally found yoga as recommended by her orthopedic surgeon, after being diagnosed with arthritis and having micro-fracture knee surgery. She was competitive from a young age and saw yoga strictly as a form of exercise at first.
It wasn’t until Trisha turned 30 that everything changed. Her oldest brother passed away unexpectedly and her view on what it meant to live life shifted. She left ten years of a sales career in Corporate America and moved to Florida for a large dose of "beach therapy”.
While there, she worked for a local yoga studio to absorb as much as possible. A day didn’t pass where she didn't touch her toes in the sand and do at least one sun salutation. She began to heal and knew her brother would want her to help others the way yoga helped her.
Trisha went to Koh Phaghan, Thailand to receive her training in Ashtanga and Vinyasa yoga. She returned to Columbus and immediately started teaching everywhere she could, knowing the ultimate goal was to open her own studio.
She was born and raised in Reynoldsburg (a suburb of Columbus), has an incredibly supportive and close family and is newly engaged to her best friend! She also has an an amazing rescue dog, Coco Chanel.
By joining our community, you are supporting a local female-owned business but more so, you’re helping her continue to live this dream and share this gift of healing.

Kevin dabbled with yoga a bit but it really wasn’t until he randomly met a beautiful woman at a holiday party that described with passion her journey with yoga. He quickly learned that she owned a studio in Gahanna and he wanted to know more. Seeking to impress her, he showed up on his mat with confidence. His natural athletic ability served him well and with the combination of her amazing instruction, he has become quite the yogi.
Kevin has run his own financial planning practice for 10 years; thus brings a plethoria of knowledge which made an extremely positive impact on the studio since he walked in the doors.
Kevin and Trisha are now happily engaged and will be married on August 17, 2019. Kevin has three older siblings, six nieces and nephews, loving parents and a large extended family. He loves dogs; especially his own, Coco. He is an avid sports fan who roots for all Detroit teams and his Alma Mater, THE Ohio State University.

After a workplace injury in ’02 and subsequent back surgery, John found yoga while attending Otterbein College in Westerville. There was never a spiritual aspect where he practiced, so for a long time John had no idea that yoga was more than just a workout; it was a way of life.
Multiple back surgeries later, coupled with debilitating chronic pain, John kept returning to yoga as a way to deal with the ever-present pain and the depression that came along with it. After recovering from the long road of 4 back surgeries, John found himself at a crossroads in life and becoming a yoga teacher was one of those roads.
John completed his 200 hour teacher training at Yoga on High in July of 2016 (with a specialty in Hatha yoga) and has been teaching regularly since. Due to his personal journey with chronic pain, depression, loss of bodily function and a lack of mobility, John tailors his classes to make yoga accessible to anyone. His real love is to teach slower, more recuperative and restorative classes, while introducing his students to the other aspects of the yoga tradition.
He is certified in Reiki, Restorative and Hatha yoga and is working towards his 500 hour RYT.
“I have yet to meet anyone who can’t do some form of yoga”.

Theresa began a regular yoga practice in 2013, however, she was introduced to the practice by her mom years prior. She has always been a mover as well as a contemplator, so yoga has been the right fit for her. She completed her 200- hour teacher training in 2016 through Yoga on High, specializing in vinyasa, however she is a lover of all types of yoga and movement. Compassion, in her opinion, is one of the most important elements of self-care, therefore, tries to adapt an ‘if it hurts, pull back and evaluate’ attitude. She is a dreamer, adventurer, and Truth seeker; looking for ways to eliminate the mundane; aiming to invite ease and a smile on the journey into the self.
When Theresa is not on the mat, she is earning a Masters in Applied Statistics, riding her bike, or fighting off aliens in Colorado. Theresa’s education also includes a bachelor’s in Anthropology, along with numerous continuing education classes. Theresa is a life long learner who loves expanding her skill set and teaching others. Join Theresa on the mat for a memorable experience.

Miranda has been an avid practitioner of Yin Yoga for about 8 years and has been teaching exclusively Yin Yoga for 4 years. She is currently teaching at The Columbus Space for Alternative Self Expression and Kula Yoga and Wellness. Her favorite part of the practice is that it helps increase overall flexibility and gives time and space to learn to appreciate your body for all it does for you every day. Also, after spending most of her life running away from negative feelings and situations, seeking pleasure in many forms, Yin has helped her discover the art of “Leaning In” to discomfort and embracing it in all areas of life – looking it in the eye and saying, “I can outlast you…because I can appreciate you”.
I invite you to join us and see if Yin is your “yoga crush” as well! All body sizes, shapes and capabilities are welcome, accepted and loved. In Yin yoga, modifications are a rule, not an exception. You will learn to work with and love your body if you are not there already. I look forward to sharing my practice with you!
